EARLY YEARS: 1979 - 2000

Purchased commercial printing equipment in 1979 to satisfy Printing needs of growing companies.

Madina Group kicked off by owning five (5) Peugeot sedan vehicles (local taxis) providing local rides to people in Dar es Salaam until 1981.

In the early 1980's, the company expressed its interest in bus passenger travelling services providing trips nationwide and started with a fleet of 3 buses.

The Group's two founders (The Brothers) established a Logistics service operating Trucks and carrying cargo from the Dar es Salaam Sea Port to particulcar destinations.

The Group grows to 20 employees with a fleet of 10 Scania Trucks & wins logistics tenders from the Government of Tanzania bidding board, controlling government international imports.

The Group purchases one of its first estates and lands in Kariakoo and Gerezani with interest in constructions, developing the first tallest building in the area during the early 1990's.

In 1996, Madina Family expands business activities by forming a sister establishment facilitating clearing & forwarding agency services.

The two founders continue to heavily invest in increasing the fleet size of their transport business and begin importing Scanias from Sweden and UK.

DIVERSIFICATION: 2000 - 2015

The Group identifies growth and opportunities from the growing importation and businesses reliant on foreign imports, the Founders invest in vast land near the sea port to build yards and storage depots to meet supply chain needs of businesses in Tanzania.

The growing fleet of cars, vans, trucks, trailers, forklifts, cranes and other utility vehicles of the company forces the company to establish an in-house auto repairs to cut down costs and exploit its expertise to serving the outer market.

The Group steadily invest in residential, commercial and retail properties providing the most affordable market rates in the country for letting purposes for both personal and business uses.

The Group acquires more and more land as the real estate market is in a growth stage mode in Dar es Salaam.

Partners with the country's top importers in volume providing excellent transportation facilities and clearing agency facilities to achieve steady-rapid growth & starts transporting out of the city all over the country and increases its fleet to over 200+ vehicles.

In early 2010's, The Group Board realise and acknowledge the large fuel consumptions and therefore express interests in oil industry as a reseller.

City of Arusha is officially recognised as the East African Community and real estate begins to boom. Therefore the Group invests in real estate developments for buy to let intention.

The Group builds its own and operates from a five storey head office located at Kurasini, less than 200 metres away from the Sea Port.

GROWTH MOMENTUM: 2015 - PRESENT

Sets up training institute for its professionals serving the different industries and jobs to enhance efficiency.

Realises the need to digitalise and automate daily operations from tracking to reportings, the Group invests heavily in Information Technology and Software.

Expands its contruction and real estate portfolio all over the Country and recognizable as the most affordable estate provider.

Secures large clearing and forwarding consignments for neighbouring country importers (supporting land-locked territories) with smooth customs agency services.

Opens an in-house IT Software Development firm to support the Group's owned projects and brands.

Establishes two financial services brands including being a Mobile Wallet Platform and a nationawide payment gateway being the most affordable online gateway for e-commerce and online vendors in the industry.

The Group acquired a Bank of Tanzania Licence along with a Tanzania Communication Regulatory Authority Licence for nationwide application services.

With growing demand of Software and automation by Information Technology, the Group begins in-house the software development taking projects from renowned companies all over the world, leaving the Madina Group footprint globally.
